Once part of the main north-south route through Stockport, the top end of Bridge Street is pedestrianised. The lamp seen here is a modern replica of an old gas lamp. Behind it can be seen the ghost signage of the Bridge Street Wine Bar which probably dates to the turn of the century (21st).
