Old Milepost by the B197, London Road, Knebworth
Cast iron post by the B197 (was A1), in parish of KNEBWORTH (NORTH HERTFORDSHIRE District), London Road, junction with Station Road, Knebworth, in pavement, on West side of road. Cheshunt iron casting, erected by the Welwyn turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Milestone, Knebworth
This is probably the oldest object in the town centre. It is a mid=19C turnpike milestone, made in Cheshunt of cast iron and listed Grade II. The other face is inscribed Stevenage 3. Knebworth was evidently in Datchworth civil parish but is now part of Stevenage District.
