Milestone, Knebworth

This is probably the oldest object in the town centre. It is a mid=19C turnpike milestone, made in Cheshunt of cast iron and listed Grade II. The other face is inscribed Stevenage 3. Knebworth was evidently in Datchworth civil parish but is now part of Stevenage District.
