Approaching Bayford station
This is how it looked in 1979 . Once there were sidings and a goods yard on the approach to the station. This is a Royston to Kings cross service diverted due to engineering work that has shut the Welwyn route.

Bayford railway station, Hertfordshire
Although the line had been opened by the Great Northern Railway by 1920, Bayford station was opened in 1924 by the GNR's successor, the London & North Eastern Railway, when passenger services were extended from Cuffley to Stevenage. View south towards Enfield Chase and London.

Road bridge at Bayford Station
This is Brickendon Road at the bridge over the Bayford to Cuffley railway line approaching from Bayford. The road bends to the right and goes up a very steep hill to Brickendon.
