Rathmore Community Centre, Charlton
It has 'Rathmore Youth Centre' over the door. It started out as a mission hall, and retains a religious connection, as the sign on the wall tells us the New Covenant Church meets here at certain times during the week. The building is beset with what at first sight appear to be gaudily upholstered sofas, but are probably painted concrete seats.

The Rose of Denmark
The pub on Woolwich Road was apparently named after Alexandra, Princess of Wales, whose "rose day" charity lent her this nickname. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandra_of_Denmark

Marks and Spencer, Charlton: rear view
The new large M&S store was billed as being on Woolwich Road, although the main entrance
Image actually turns out to be from Bugsbys Way to the north. There is however pedestrian access from the bus stops on Woolwich Road.

London and Kent Electrical, Woolwich Road
Most of the older houses on the north side of this stretch of Woolwich Road had already been demolished by the end of 2012. The few that remained probably survived (though boarded up) because of this shop on the west end. But sooner or later they will go to make way for construction of the new shopping centre.
