Vintage bus at Catford bus garage
Today was the occasion of the Catford Bus Garage Open Day at which various vintage buses were on display. One such was this former East Kent AEC Regent V dating from 1967 and owned by Stagecoach, the owners of Catford garage.

Catford bus garage, entrance from Bromley Road
Catford bus garage was opened in May 1914 by the London General Omnibus Company but with a reduced requirement for buses during the First War was converted for use by the Royal Army Service Corps less than a year later. It was re-opened in 1920 by the Thomas Tilling company and has remained open ever since. It is currently owned by Stagecoach.

The garage was opened in 1914 by the London General Omnibus Company and is currently operated by Stagecoach. Around 120 buses are at present allocated there.
