Addington Square SE5
This square is just off Walworth Road. It gained some notoriety during the 1960s because the Richardson Brothers had an illegal "drinking club" named the "Addington Club" in the square. They also had a scrapyard near here from where they ran their criminal enterprises. (See the site in this photo http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/200880 ) The area has changed a lot since then, physically and socially.

17-21 Addington Square
The south side of this quiet enclave off Camberwell Road. Early C19th houses, each of two-bays and three storeys. The houses look of sufficient status to warrant basements, a Georgian staple, but they lack them. Grade II listed.
The square has pleasant terraces but is incoherent in that the north side, if it ever existed, is completely missing and there is no uniformity across the other three sides.

South London and the City of London from the air
Elephant & Castle, Southwark and Bermondsey make up the bulk of the foreground. The Imperial War Museum can be seen on the left edge of the photo, just below the cloud. There is a big cloud over the City of London.

47-48 Addington Square
The north-west corner of this quiet enclave off Camberwell Road. An early C19th pair, each of three bays and three storeys, the entrance bays emphasised by pilasters. Arched ground floor windows set into arched recesses, and first floor wrought-iron balconies. Grade II listed.
The square has pleasant terraces but is incoherent in that the north side, if it ever existed, is completely missing and there is no uniformity across the other three sides.
