A path and steps lead from Bailey Close, to a path that swirls around the hill the top. The hill is a twenty-metre-high landmark created from recycled excavated material.

Gallions Reach Park, Thamesmead
A view from Gallions Hill, over Gallions Reach Park. The small hills in the park are artificial. In the distance is Barking Creek Barrier, a flood defence barrier which is lowered when necessary to protect Barking Creek and surrounding land from flood tides.
