Railway through Forest Hill
This railway is a busy route between London Bridge and Croydon. The first and fourth tracks are generally used by trains serving local stations along this section of line. The two tracks in the middle are used by trains which don't serve the local stations. To the left of the image, the brick structure is the remains of a signal box. Signals in this area are now controlled from a large signalling centre at London Bridge. The train heading towards the camera is a London Overground service. These were introduced in this area in 2010.
