Public toilets in Brockwell Park
Brockwell Park was formerly the private estate of Brockwell Hall and has been open to the public since 1892. This white porticoed shelter was once a private chapel but is now a public toilet - doubtless one of the most attractive of these facilities in London.

Temple, Brockwell Park
Actually more a garden feature for Brockwell Hall than a temple. Perhaps early C19th together with the adjoining walls, behind which lies the walled garden. Grade II listed.

Brockwell Park (12)
Originally the grounds of Brockwell Hall, landscaped by J.B. Papworth, acquired from the Brockwell Estate by the London County Council in 1891, and later extended under the guiding hand of their Superintendent of Parks, Colonel J.J. Sexby, who added ponds, lakes, bandstand and walled garden. The park covers some 120 acres, including the popular lido. The hall now serves as the park's cafe (

The building with the white chimneys in the distance is the back of the former private chapel (now public toilets) seen in http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2636371
