Brockwell Park was formerly the private estate of Brockwell Hall and has been open to the public since 1892. The Old English Garden, near the centre of the park, was the former walled kitchen garden and was the first of its kind to be featured in a London public park. This view looks across the circular pond near the centre. The building with the white chimneys in the distance is the back of the former private chapel (now public toilets) seen in http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2636371
