Orleans Road, SE19
Orleans Road here runs along the floor of a dip that marks the line of the River Effra, one of London's "lost" (largely-culverted) rivers, which rises here and flows to the Thames at Vauxhall. From the manhole cover close to the camera comes a constant sound of running water, presumably from the culverted stream below.

"Justice for Grenfell" banner, London Prospect, Central Hill SE19
Following the disastrous fire in Kensington's Grenfell Tower in June 2017, fellow-feeling was expressed in other council estates, and here Lambeth's Central Hill estate demonstrates that.

99 Central Hill
Quite a dignified house, now flats, and surprisingly neither statutorily nor locally listed. Most buildings pre-1840 are listed so that may date it to shortly after then although I might have placed it at least a decade earlier. It has a Tuscan portico, a verandah and end windows with pediments and brackets. It ends too abruptly at the top, it needs a parapet or balustrade.
