Flats above shops, Anerley Hill
I'm rather fond of the advertisement sticking out above the chemist's: "Full strength cough medicine in a pastille". It would be nice to think of that perhaps lasting as long as some of the tin advertising signs from the early 20th century.

Incident on Anerley Road
Not an accident, but a bus breaking down and leading to a traffic jam. The bus turning out of the road on the right - Hamlet Road - has broken down in the position photographed, preventing the reciprocal 410 bus ahead turning into Hamlet Road with its tight turn and inconvenient bollards. A very narrow chicane caused by parked cars between the two buses has led to lengthy tailbacks in both directions. There was, so far, no attempt by anybody to direct the traffic. The offending vehicle was Arriva fleet number DWS17 from Beddington garage.

Broken down bus, Anerley Road
This has broken down in this very awkward position, causing considerable traffic build-up in three directions. A 410 bus trying to go the other way and now unable to make the turn and so stopped behind the camera, roadworks and parked cars made the situation worse. Fortunately my bus was going straight on and is about to traverse the final chicane. The offending vehicle is Arriva fleet number DWS17 from Beddington garage.
