Incident on Anerley Road

Not an accident, but a bus breaking down and leading to a traffic jam. The bus turning out of the road on the right - Hamlet Road - has broken down in the position photographed, preventing the reciprocal 410 bus ahead turning into Hamlet Road with its tight turn and inconvenient bollards. A very narrow chicane caused by parked cars between the two buses has led to lengthy tailbacks in both directions. There was, so far, no attempt by anybody to direct the traffic. The offending vehicle was Arriva fleet number DWS17 from Beddington garage.
