Floral tributes on the corner of Artillery Place and John Wilson Street
Drummer Lee Rigby was murdered on the Wednesday. These were the floral tributes by Sunday along the railings in Artillery Place on the corner with John Wilson Street near the Royal Artillery Barracks where he was based. They stretched a long way along both roads. They continued to build up over the next few days. There were more flowers on the opposite side of Artillery Place and outside the entrance to the barracks.

Former public house, Woolwich
Formerly known as the "Evening Star". The short length of road to the left of the pub is part of the original John Wilson Street, rebuilt as a dual carriageway just to the west (left of picture) to take traffic to the Woolwich Free Ferry round the town centre rather than through it.
