Despite the hard materials, their playful arrangement creates a relaxed, inviting public space. The view is from beneath the elevated Peckham Library http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peckham_Library designed by Alsop and Störmer and winner of the Stirling Prize for Architecture in 2000. Some of the non-vertical supporting columns can be seen. In the background is the Peckham Pulse Healthy Living Centre with the Leisure Centre to its right.
