Former Peckham Bus Garage (1)
Situated in Peckham High Street, SE15 5ED, this bus garage was opened in May 1951 in connection with the 1950-52 tram replacement scheme and occupied a three-acre site between Peckham High Street and Hanover Park. Because it was said to be expensive to run and there were concerns about its ferro-concrete roof, it closed in January 1994, and was replaced at the same time by a new depot in Blackpool Road not far from the previous site, TQ3476 refers. A bus station and supermarket now occupies the area of the former garage.

December 2015 was unseasonably mild. Look closely at the line of trees, and you may spot spring blossom has already appeared, several months earlier than normal.
