New Cross: Former public house
A sight all too common in London as elsewhere in the UK, is the former public house no longer in use as such. This one, at the junction of Barlborough Street and Monson Road, was the 'Duke of Albany'. (date of closure not known - to me, anyway).

New Cross: A small market
This part of Monson Road is closed to vehicular traffic, and one or two market stalls are often to be found there. They appear to be making use of one of the small buildings of All Saints Institute.

Primary School, New Cross Gate
Facing the north end of Brocklehurst Street across Camplin Street is a commanding primary school, identifying itself as Haberdashers' Hatcham Primary, A Temple Grove School. Hatcham Park is a local street name, remembering a moated mansion where Egmont Street is now. Out of shot right is a London Bike Network fingerpost pointing right to Surrey Quays and Millwall F.C. Getting warm! Photo number 7871938.
