Watching cricket at The Oval
The sun was out in late August and shirts (but not the photographer's) were off at The Oval. This was probably as good as it got for these Surrey supporters at the Vauxhall End: the County Championship match against Derbyshire was the only one Surrey won in 2013 as they finished bottom of Division 1, six points behind the visitors, who were also relegated.

The Oval: start delayed
Overnight rain delayed the start of the Surrey-Nottinghamshire match until 12.15. Thereafter Surrey, the leaders, emphasised their position as champions-elect. The majority of what turned out to be quite a large crowd were in the Pavilion, but some hardy enthusiasts waited patiently here at the Vauxhall End.
Surrey 375, Notts 101 and 149. Surrey won by an innings and 125 runs.

Kia Oval - JM Finn stand
The four-tier grandstand at the Vauxhall end of the ground was completed in May 2005, replacing the old Surridge, Fender, Jardine, and Peter May north stands. It increased the ground capacity to around 23,000.
From completion until 2020 it was known as the OCS stand, as it was sponsored by Outsourced Client Solutions International Facilities Management Services. After a brief period as the 1845 stand, another sponsorhip deal in 2001 saw it renamed the JM Finn stand.
