Greenwich Square, Sainsbury's Local
The first shop to open in the development, in the ground floor of Block 2 on the corner of Hazel Lane. Surprisingly there are no cycle stands provided as are usually provided for new shops these days.

Greenwich Square, nearly ready (4)
A view from Hazel Lane towards the courtyard at the heart of the phase 1 development. At this point some apartments were already occupied, but the leisure centre / library (the lower building in the background) was still under development behind hoardings.

Greenwich Square under construction (2)
Since my previous photo three months earlier of this large construction site Image the development had changed its name from "heart of East Greenwich" (geographically accurate) to Greenwich Square" (probably meant to be more aspirational, sounding as if it is in the town centre, not a mile away).

Heart of East Greenwich - first buildings going up
After a gap of several years in the recession, construction actually started in late 2012 on this plot (previously the site of the Greenwich District Hospital until 2006). Image By January, the first building could be seen rising above the hoardings.
NB for subsequent photos of the development, look for the new name (from March 2013) "Greenwich Square". e.g. Image
