Westcombe Park station
Looking east, in the Down direction. The railway through here opened in 1873, but Westcombe Park station did not open until 1879.

Westcombe Park station, Greenwich
A Class 465 unit heads an up train to London Cannon Street from this quiet suburban station in Greenwich. A great deal of this grid square is occupied by industrial premises, with a small area of housing around the station at the southern fringe.

Footpath from Ormiston Road to Westcombe Park station
This is the Ormiston Road end of the footpath. Confusingly, a sign below the "no cycling" sign says it is British Rail [now Network Rail] land, used as a permitted bridleway, which normally means that cycling is also permitted! I doubt that many horses use it, though.

Westcombe Park station car park
Until 2008 the northern entrance to the station was unlit and unsurfaced. It has now been properly surfaced, marked out as a car park and well lit. On the other hand passengers now have to pay several pounds per day to park here. This photo was taken on a Saturday when there were no commuters parked!

Westcombe Park dental practice, Station Crescent
I thought at first this was an original 1920's Bauhaus building. In fact it is very recent (c. 2000?), though the designer, Russell Associates, acknowledged the Bauhaus influence http://www.russellassociates.co.uk/
