Poyston Hall
Originally C18 with later additions, this was the home of the Picton family and in particular General Sir Thomas Picton, although he was born in Haverfordwest while the house was being rebuilt in 1758, see Image
It is said to have a magnificent library, unfortunately not available to view.
A farm adjoins and there is a lake in the grounds, seen here, the view being from the public footpath running to the east.

Hedge garlic (Alliara petiolata)
A fairly common damp-loving, spring-flowering plant which has a number of common names including garlic mustard, Jack-by-the-hedge and sauce-alone, and indeed it was used in sauces for fish and lamb in the C17/18, or as an ingredient for spring salads today. The leaves are best picked young before they become coarse.
It was growing here near to the lake at Poyston Hall.
