Broughton Lane railway station (site), Sheffield
Opened in 1854 by the South Yorkshire Railway on the line from Sheffield to Barnsley via Tinsley, this station closed in 1966. View south west towards Attercliffe and Sheffield. A wider Broughton Lane bridge now covers part of the site and tram tracks in the foreground now run where heavy rail used to.

Sheffield Supertram Valley Centertainment tram stop, Sheffield
It's difficult to think of a more ugly mouthful of a name than this, and note the American spelling of centre. The stop is on the route to Meadowhall and also the tram-train route to Rotherham Parkgate. In the distance is departing Tram-Train 399 203 heading for the Cathedral stop in Sheffield's city centre. Broughton Lane Station (remains)
View NE, towards Rotherham, etc.; ex-Great Central (South Yorkshire) main line, Sheffield (Victoria) - Mexborough and Doncaster/York, an immensely busy line in the industrial Don Valley. The station was closed on 3/4/56: its site is now under the Broughton Lane viaduct and its local function nowadays supplanted by the Sheffield Supertram Image
