View NE, towards Rotherham, etc.; ex-Great Central (South Yorkshire) main line, Sheffield (Victoria) - Mexborough and Doncaster/York, an immensely busy line in the industrial Don Valley. The station was closed on 3/4/56: its site is now under the Broughton Lane viaduct and its local function nowadays supplanted by the Sheffield Supertram Image
