The corner of Watson Road and Bridge Place
A distinctive piece of Art Deco architecture, relatively unaltered. As well as retail premises on the ground floor, the building also contained a dance hall when first built. The building to the left is a former gas showroom; there is a bench mark http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4689224 on its near corner.

Worksop Town Lock, Chesterfield Canal
For some reason this particular lock has been accorded Listed Grade II status, although none of the neighbouring locks have been similarly treated.

Town Lock, Worksop, Notts.
A view of the Grade II-listed lock on the west side of Bridge Place. Bridge Place is the road name for the carriageway that is carried over the Chesterfield Canal almost immediately behind the photographer. This lock was constructed c.1776 but has, understandably, required later replacements and repairs. A pair of mitre gates are operable at the other end of the 12-15ft long water-containment feature.

Town Lock, Worksop, Notts.
This bridge over the Chesterfield Canal carries road and pedestrian traffic between the town centre and the railway side of the town. This lock was constructed c.1776 but has had to tolerate subsequent replacements and repairs. A pair of functioning mitre gates are seen here at this end of the 12-15ft long water-containment feature.

Chesterfield Canal - Worksop Town Lock No 50
Looking at the piles of rubbish around, this is certainly the most neglected lock on the stretch down from Kiveton.
