Wath Depot
Located beside Wath Concentration Yard, the depot was home to Class 76 locomotives on the Sheffield to Manchester via Penistone line. Here, 76028 stands at the head of a string of the class parked up for the weekend. The shed is visible on the right of the photo. Three years after taking this photo, the line closed in 1983. The yard was demolished and housing is currently being built on the site. The 76's were scrapped, there being no other route they could work. There is now a large lake adjacent to where the shed once was.
