The footpath to the trig point now passes new housing called `The Spires'. This appears to be on the site of a former farm.

This church has the look of a nineteenth century Gothic Revival building - possibly a 'Waterloo church' built using labour involving troops coming back from the Napoleonic wars, in an attempt to reduce potential social unrest.
