'Up-Cycle' Sculpture, Kirk Edge Road, Worrall, near Oughtibridge
To commemorate the Tour de France 2014, the village of Worrall has erected this sculpture made from parts of 60 unwanted bicycles. It is aptly named 'Up-Cycle' as the unwanted bicycles have been donated by Veolia in partnership with the Green Company and Sheffield City Council. The Sculpture, which stands 2.5m high, has been put together by local artists Robin Widdowson and Sarah Beavan-Widdowson ... helped by some of the local villagers. It is sited on the corner of Haggstones Road and Kirk Edge Road, just a few feet / metres from the route of the Tour de France's Stage 2, on Sunday 6th July. See also ... Image Image

Bus Stop on Haggstones Road, Worrall, near Oughtibridge
There will be no buses available on Sunday, 6th July 2014 … why? 'Cos on that day the massive Tour de France 'Circus' will be passing, and I suspect this scene will look somewhat different
