Park Hill Estate, Sheffield
Celebrated piece of Grade II listed modern Corbusian architecture or a nightmare social housing project? Park Hill was built between 1957 and 1961 to the designs of architects Jack Lynn and Ivor Smith. Most of the flats now empty and boarded up, awaiting renovation by the Urban Splash group. Park Hill Flats
The development at Park Hill, once one of the "streets in the sky" developments has been by turn famous, infamous, empty, and has now undergone restoration to smart again. Some has been rebuilt as student accommodation
This is "Long Harry Row" overlooking the Station.

Sheffield Brutalist
A stair tower in Park Hill Flats. The façade facing Sheffield city centre has recently been refurbished with brightly coloured panel décor and the green area adjacent to South Street has also been reprofiled imparting a clean and contemporaneous appearance. But step behind the façade to be greeted with a faintly sinister, post apocalyptic scene.
