A Lost View - Whirlow Grange, Sheffield
A lost view of the former Sheffield Diocesan Conference Centre at Whirlow Grange in Sheffield, as seen in June 2004. The Conference Centre was set in mature gardens to the southwest of the city and used to host weddings, conferences and residential courses. Sadly, this rather charming building and it's beautiful gardens were later demolished to make way for housing.

A pair of Giant Redwood trees in Whinfell Quarry Garden
These grade II listed, small, beautiful gardens are in an old flagstone quarry and are one of the city's best kept secrets. The garden was created in the 1900s so these huge trees are over 120 years old.
