"Riverdale", Graham Road, Sheffield
Riverdale House was built for Sheffield steel magnate Charles Henry Firth (1837-1892) and bought in 1902 by mail order millionaire John George Graves (1866-1945), the city's greatest philanthropist. Perhaps sadly, the extensive grounds to this imposing house were largely sold off for housing in the nineteen sixties. The house itself now accommodates several commercial offices.
