Havering Town Hall
Originally Romford Town Hall, this building dates from the 1930s when it was designed by architects H R Collins and A E O Geens; it was extended in 1960 and again in 1988. Since 1965 it has been Havering Town Hall, serving London's most easterly borough comprising Romford, Hornchurch, Rainham and Upminster with a population (in 2011) of 237,232.

Romford Town Hall
In the International Moderne style it was officially opened as Romford Town Hall by the Lord Mayor of London, Sir George Broadbridge, on 16 September 1937. Now the Headquarters of Havering London Borough Council. A Grade II listed building.
In the foreground is a floral display to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

Entrance to former bus garage in North Street, Romford
The service road in which the white van is parked once led to a garage used by Green Line Coaches during the 1930s. The garage was situated on the premises of Romford Ice & Cold Storage and closed in 1938. It is not to be confused with North Street bus garage which opened in 1953 and is still operational.
