Gordon Close, Haywards Heath
A cul de sac off Gordon Road. Originally part of the grounds of a brewery that existed here from the 1870s until it burnt down in 1888. The site was then divided between a terrace of Victorian houses facing Mill Green Road and firstly a coach building business that later evolved into motor garage and car showroom. The current close developed sometime in the 1980s. Beyond is the tower belonging to the fire station.

Gordon Road, Haywards Heath
The road was laid out in the first decade of the 20th century and forms a rectangle with Queens Road to the south. As can be seen by the variety of styles development was piecemeal. According to Cuckfield's 1843 tithe map this was once Five Acre Field.
