Looking across land to dwellings that were all part of The West Grinstead Park Estate. The 1992 Sales Brochure summarised - "The sale of the West Grinstead Park Estate will be the largest division of a country estate in this part of Sussex since before the war. The Estate, as a whole, extends to about 2265 acres, and is to be sold in 70 Lots, comprising houses, cottages, barns with planning permission, farm buildings, dairy , arable and stock farms, accommodation land and milk quota".

The name of the field according to West Grinstead's 1841 tithe map. The field was not part of the original West Grinstead park but was acquired in the 19th century. Viewed from Park Lane which forms its eastern boundary.
