Old tracked bucket loader, James Watt Way, Crawley
By the entrance to Cook & Son, recycling, at Rowley Farm. It is a Fiat-Allis, Fiatallis or possibly just Fiat FL4. This seems to be the smallest in the range. The tubular boom is a comparative rarity both for the model and indeed for loaders in general. The exact maker name depends on the year - Fiat gradually took over the construction equipment business of Allis-Chalmers. A tentative latest date for this example is around 1985 although it could be much older, the tubular boom is illustrated in 1960s catalogues.

This appears to be an unofficial diversion of bridleway 352Sy. It is mapped as running on the track on the other side of the fence to the right, but that is in active use by the waste processing business here.
