This and adjacent rows of terraced houses were constructed using unusual sliding windows. The original builder failed, and when this picture was taken the end houses of this row had not been finished.

Lourdes Crescent, Hungerford
The houses here were built by Linden Homes with the first ones occupied in October 2013. The road leads off Priory Road and effectively surrounds the new Roman Catholic church of Our Lady of Lourdes. The land was in fact previously owned by the church and used for allotments; its sale raised funds to build the new church. The distinctive arts and crafts design of the houses is intended to match the architecture of the church building.

Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Hungerford
This striking church to the south of Hungerford town centre was opened in April 2014, replacing an inadequate older building and financed by the sale of surrounding land for housing. The architect was Jeremy Bell.
