Obelisk at Caffa Mill
The obelisk was originally on Albert Quay to commemorate the visit of Queen Victoria and Albert to Fowey in 1846. Apparently many years later it was retrieved from the Harbour bed and brought to the present site to commemorate the visit of the Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip (1962) and her Jubilee in 1977. In the background are the new flats built on the site of the old gas works.
