Stowford Mill housing development
Formerly the Argo Wiggins paper mill. Now a housing/ business development with cafe, few artisan shops and up market housing. As yet not finished so no public access, apart from a show home.

Stowford Paper Mills A.D. 1862
The title quotes the words written along the side of this building. The mill is currently owned by ArjoWiggins and specialises in the production of watermarked papers, as it has done since it was opened.

Stowford Paper Mill

Stowford Paper Mill
The main mill block is dated 1862 and the mill was powered by water. In 1914 it gained steam power with the tall engine house with blue doors on the left. The brick chimney is truly spectacular. This is a difficult site to photograph because of the presence of trees alongside the river running to the left.
