Grantown High Street illuminated for Christmas 2003
The photo was taken from opposite the phone box just below the traffic lights where the road From Elgin and Tomintoul joins the High Street from the right. The phone box is in the lower right of the picture. The traffic lights are showing green just beyond the green signpost. Straight ahead is the main road leading to Nairn and Forres.

Grantown on Spey High Street
This is the main A939 as it runs through Grantown on Spey.
The High Street is lined with unique, independent and interesting shops and businesses selling everything from children’s clothes to whisky.
A traditional Highland town on the River Spey on the northern edge of the Cairngorms National park, it is a fine example of a Georgian planned town – one of the first to be set out in this fashion in the 1760s.
