John Hampden Hall, Chalgrove
Community hall run by Chalgrove church. http://www.chalgrovechurch.org/stmarys_jhampdenhall.html Named after the Civil War commander John Hampden who died in 1643 at the battle of Chalgrove Field. The large house beyond is the Old Vicarage.

High Street, Chalgrove
The early 18th century old vicarage is the only house on the High Street where the brook is culverted for a front garden. Beyond is the John Hampden Hall and far right, the Post Office. John Hampden was fatally wounded at the skirmish at Chalgrove field in 1643.
