Woodperry, Beckley
A compact core of 1728-31, built for John Morse, a London banker, from which spreads curved links to wings forming quite a grand ensemble. Like its close cousin nearby, Britwell House (Image]), the architect may have been William Townesend of Oxford. In front are high quality wrought-iron gates and railings. In 1879-80 a local architect, Frederick Codd, added the porch and pedimented wings. Grade I listed.
