Chiltern Railways dmu No. 168328 heads towards London after stopping at Bicester Village Station. These services run regularly between Oxford and London Marylebone via the New Bicester Chord line, opened in 2015. This is the only level crossing on the route, as all others have been replaced with bridges.

London Road Level Crossing
The first part of the dual track for Chiltern Railways’ Oxford - Marylebone link was laid on 2nd April 2014 at the London Road level crossing to the North East of Bicester Town station. Until very recently this was a single track level crossing, although further back in time it was dual tracked, as the Geograph photo Bicester (London Road) Station suggests. You may notice that there is little sign of Bicester Town station in April 2014.
Train services from Oxford Parkway to London Marylebone are scheduled to start running from Autumn 2015 and from Oxford to Milton Keynes and Bedford from December 2017. More details of the East West Rail are available http://www.eastwestrail.org.uk

Bicester Village railway station, Oxfordshire
Opened in 1850 on what became the London & North Western Railway's Oxford to Cambridge line via Bedford, this station closed in 1968. Between 1954 and 1968 it was known as "Bicester London Road" station. The station was reopened as a single platform by British Rail in 1987 as "Bicester Town" only to be completely demolished as part of the rebuilding of the line in 2014, reopening in October 2015 as "Bicester Village" station. The current station is about 70m further away from the camera position than its predecessors.
