Richmond Street Bridge
The bridge (AMJ/10) crosses the railway line, sometimes referred to as the Richmond Curve or the Crowthorn Curve, which leaves the Manchester Victoria to Stalybridge line and curves round bypassing Guide Bridge to join the line through Denton and Reddish South to Stockport. It is now well used as a freight line only.

Richmond Curve Freight Line
The railway line viewed from Richmond Street Bridge, sometimes referred to as the Richmond Curve or the Crowthorn Curve, leaves the Manchester Victoria to Stalybridge line and curves round bypassing Guide Bridge to join the line through Denton and Reddish South to Stockport. It is now well used as a freight line only. The buildings on the left are part of the Kayley 23 Industrial Unit. Those on the other side of the line are part of the leisure complex on Ashton Moss.

Tram Approaching Ashton West
Metrolink Bombardier M5000 tram number 3001 climbs the hill from Ashton as it approaches the Ashton West tram stop (behind the camera).
Between the Ashton IKEA store and the Ashton Moss stop, the Metrolink routre follows a dedicated tramway in the central reservation of Lord Sheldon Way (The Ashton Northern Bypass)
