Climbing Hampstead High Street
A 268 bus climbs into Hampstead from the direction of Belsize Park. The vehicle is on route to Golders Green Station, but the driver seems to have forgotten to set the destination display. The steepness of the climb and the sideways slope of the road surface are evident in this photo. On the right of the photo, the name of the street is displayed on the wall using black and white tiles, a common method of road name display in Hampstead.
