Carreras Cigarette Factory
Built 1926 - 1928 for the Carreras Cigarette Company. The frontage features splendid Egyptian style decoration, including two giant black cats. Between the 1880s and 1920s Egypt was a world leader in cigarette production, and tobacco companies would use this exotic eastern imagery in their marketing. When originally converted to offices in 1961, a lot of damage was done to the building's appearance, but recent restoration has brought back some of the decoration, including the cats. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carreras_Cigarette_Factory Carreras traded until 1958 when they merged with Rothmans.

Ampthill Square Estate tower blocks.
Looking north on the Hampstead Road. These 20 storey residential blocks dominate the north end of Euston Station. They are named Oxenholme ( red top), Gillfoot (blue top) and Dalehead (yellow top). The naming carries on a theme of Cumbrian place names adopted in the neighbouring Regents Park Estate on the west side of Hampstead road.

Bus stand, Camden Town
In London, bus stands, where buses lay over between journeys, are usually marked with flags such as this one on Hampstead Road. Behind the bus is the exuberant art-deco Greater London House; note the black cat emblem.
