Looking down Hoop Lane
View northeast from the Golders Green Road end towards the Roman Catholic church of St Edward the Confessor which stands on Finchley Road.
Hoop Lane is named after a C18 pub in the area.

Unitarian Church, Golders Green
The church in Hoop Lane is in the Byzantine style, and is notable for the semicircular mural in the apse by Ivon Hitchens (1893-1979). It was painted in 1919 as a war memorial, and is his first known painting. It was restored a few years ago. A Montessori school also operates here.

Central Hotel and palm trees
On Hoop Lane off the Finchley Road - the palm trees look out-of-place on a miserable February day.
