Former Ebbw Vale Blockbuster Video Express
In late May 2015, a TO LET board is on the Market Street shop in Ebbw Vale town centre.
Blockbuster UK went into administration in January 2013 after struggling against online competition.

The Picture House, Ebbw Vale
The premises were purpose-built in 1970 as a supermarket. The building stands on the site of the Astoria cinema, built in 1940. This is recalled in the name of this Wetherspoon pub on Market Street. The pub opened in May 1998.

Market Street clock, Ebbw Vale
The clock was erected in May 2009 in the final phase of the town centre regeneration. The 11 metre high (c36 feet) clock, called Echoes, is located on Market Street in the centre of town. The stand on which the clock sits is shaped like a horse's neck as a reference to the literal translation of the Welsh name of the town, Glyn Ebwy, which means valley of the wild horses.
Around the base of the clock stand are a group of seven chrome spheres.

This building at 1-4 Market Square was formerly occupied by Daniel Bed Centre, Prams and Cots. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/366353
It has been occupied since April 2010 by Taste of Enterprise, which enables people interested in developing a creative business to access free business advice and to test the market in a low risk environment. This service is available to residents of the Heads of the Valley area who have not yet started a creative business but are interested in so doing.
