Vestiges of the former Handpost post office, Newport
Located on the corner of Llanthewy Road and Stow Hill, outside the former Handpost post office, are a George V postbox (in use) and the remains of an automatic stamp dispenser. Between the two, covered with Iceland advertising, is a public phone box (working).

Stow Hill library, Newport
Stow Hill Library and Information Centre is in a small, single-storey building located among the long line of shops at the Handpost, on the north side of the top end of Stow Hill. It is part of Newport City Council's library service.
Shops next to the library are Handpost Flowers and Handpost Gift (fashion accessories).

The Hand Post, Handpost, Newport
Pub on the corner of Risca Road and Bassaleg Road. The junction is also the western end of Stow Hill. Though not usually indicated on maps, the area around the pub is known as The Handpost, and several local shops include Handpost in their name.
