Access road into the SE end of Mon Bank, Newport
Viewed from Docks Way in July 2014. Mon Bank is a Redrow housing development on former railway land, extending from here to Cardiff Road, about 800 metres away. At the date of this view, there were some newly built houses on this side, more on the Cardiff Road side. As yet, there is no through road between the two ends.
The Redrow board on the right gives details of the more than £1.5 million that Redrow are committing to the local community to ensure the sustainability of this development. The figures include more than £1 million on local primary and secondary schools and £210,000 on public transport.
