The Bold Dragoon pub sign, Weston Favell
The sign outside the Bold Dragoon on Weston Favell's High Street depicts a fine soldier but could probably do with some refurbishment. Dragoon was a name given to a type of cavalry regiment and is still retained in some regimental names in the British army.

Thank you sign - Weston Favell
Motorists at the north end of High Street are thanked for driving slowly through Weston Favell village - whether they did or not. The sign also features the coat of arms of Northamptonshire which has Yorkist and Lancastrian elements (including white and red roses) to commemorate the importance of the county in the Wars of the Roses. The Latin motto means 'A rose, symbol of peace'.
